ABOUT
ME
Hi, I’m Abi! I am an enthusiastic and high motivated individual who was able to navigate the dynamics of breaking into pharma and obtaining a fulfilling career in the industry. I’ve listened, I’ve learned, I’ve mentored, and I’ve coached. My passion lies in impacting positive change and helping others achieve their career aspirations.
I am a strong leader who successfully transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry after working in pharmacy for 5 years. I’ve held positions as a Medical Science Liaison and a Medical Information Consultant.
My personality is such that I enjoy engaging with people which has led me to naturally develop strong relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, and industry professionals at various companies. Leveraging my experience, knowledge and connection, I have coached professionals from diverse backgrounds including academia, community pharmacy, and hospital settings. I successfully guided them towards building careers in the pharmaceutical industry.
I received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy and subsequently completed a post-graduate residency with UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. I graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. I obtained a teaching certificate at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and have completed a comprehensive training in motivational interviewing. I worked in specialty and community pharmacies and served as a preceptor to pharmacy residents and student pharmacists. I also served as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
